A whopping four out of five Irish men would consider sleeping with a married woman for a one night stand, a new survey claims.

The poll conducted by Cadbury Starbar's 'No Nuts No Glory' campaign found that Irish men think their sense of humor helps them pull women more than any other attribute.

Four-hundred-and-twenty-one men aged between 18 and 24 were asked a series of questions as part of the campaign which found that over half of Irish men would draw the line at seducing a mother.

The survey found that Megan Fox is the Hollywood actress that Irish men would most like to seduce.

A large majority (68 percent) would end their relationship for a date with the ’Transformers’ star and three quarters admitted to fancying Megan Fox more than their own girlfriend.

A tiny one percent of men aged 18 to 24 surveyed believe their bank balance was a big draw for women. Almost 75 percent of Irish men admitted to lying to women in order to impress them.

As part of the campaign Cadburys is giving Irish men a chance to meet and greet Megan Fox, and all they have to do is upload “the most impressive picture of themselves” to the No Nuts No Glory website.

Phone dating is becoming more popular in Ireland with both men and women now using the service.

Richard Brennan of voicemingle.com said that business is increasing and more women are using the service.

He told the Irish Sun, “We started the business sixteen years ago and today it has thousands of regular users.” He went on, “Phone dating is more popular than people think. We have over 300,000 people who have used the service in recent years. It is far more mainstream than you would expect.”

Brennan stresses that the service is directed to helping people meet “the one” and not a common telephone ploy. He said, “People are searching for ‘The One.’ The service is similar to internet dating but unless you agreed to meet them, you might never see them. It’s like a nightclub or a bar. The people in it are real, there are no employees or fake people in the party.”

It is easy to understand why some would be hesitant to use a phone line. In January of this year the Herald reported on a scam that targeted mobile phone users and tricked them into calling a foreign sex line with charges of up to 150 euros.

Brennan said the service is popular with women because it is anonymous and secure. He explained, “The service is totally secure. Most people use aliases, phone numbers are not passed in the service and it is a policed environment. Women come for different reasons, some to meet a future partner, some for casual dating and others for no strings attached fun.”

Irish have the travel bug

A new survey shows that Irish people daydream more often than other Europeans about taking a spontaneous holiday, and that they would most prefer to go with their significant other.

A survey conducted by travel booking website LastMinute.com found that Irish people think about travelling five times a week, far above the average of other countries who were polled that came in at only 3.6 days a week.

32 percent of Irish polled also reported that they would most prefer to take a holiday with their significant other. This percentage beat out the likes of other more famously romantic types, including the French and Italians.

Unfortunately, while the Irish may have big day dreams of jetting off to somewhere warm with their one and only, a staggering 68 percent polled said that they do not have the disposable income to take such holidays.

For the survey, Last Minute polled 7,229 people from France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and the United Kingdom in hopes of learning why 60 percent of people on their site book their holidays within 21 days of departure.

New research has shown, perhaps surprisingly, that it is in fact men who spend more time chatting on the phone as compared to women.

Relationship psychologist Susan Quilliam says, “The classic joke is that it's the girls who are on the phone for hours. But actually now it's guys who are becoming bigger fans of the phone conversation - particularly if they want to be in touch with friends and family who've moved abroad.”

FooTalk conducted a survey amongst 500 Americans which determined that men are ‘better at speaking to friends and family on the phone and have more International friends.’

The trend of women being the chatty-kathys on the phone has certainly shifted according to the new survey conducted on behalf of FooTalk, a new app that makes international calling much more competitive.

The survey found that American men know an average of 21 people living overseas who they keep in touch with, compared to American women who only keep in touch with 15 on average.

It was found that American men stay on the phone longer than women as well, averaging around a half an hour of chat time for men, and only 15 minutes for women.

The reasoning behind the difference in chat times with those abroad is attributed to the fact that women may be more wary of high charges for international calls.

“Women may be put off by the thought of high costs to call abroad,” said Graeme Hutchinson, co-founder of FooTalk and former sales and marketing chief and founding management team member of Virgin Mobile, “but by using new apps this could be a thing of the past. They can save money whilst also investing in their friendships by connecting on a more personal level.”

Hutchinson added that “Facebook and Twitter might keep you abreast of your friends’ lives but there’s always more to be had from a conversation – even if the other person is in a different country.”

“At this time of year when people are more determined to save money after the festive period those with friends and relatives living abroad should know there are very low cost and free ways to stay in touch with friends, colleagues and loved ones.”

Quillam added that, "Hearing someone's voice is a far richer experience than simply seeing words on screen. You get to not only learn more about what the other person's thinking and feeling, but they get to learn more about you.”

“Add to that the fact that calls are fully and instantly responsive, immediate and interactive. If you talk to someone on the phone, you're fully focused on each other, minute to minute. It's a way of connecting with someone and sharing their daily life – even if they're far away.”

The majority of those surveyed were found to be gossipers as well! 56 percent indicated that they rang their friends abroad to share in gossip, rather than big or important news, more regularly.

Perhaps the lads were ringing home to get the latest GAA gossip! Surely they could talk for hours about the latest football, hurling or rugby matches back home.

Proud of your Irish assets? - Women's average breast size is increasing

Are you a boob man? I mean, well, I don’t think I have ever met a man who isn’t. If yes is your answer, you will be delighted to hear that Irish women’s breasts are getting bigger.

A new survey by Debenhams has found that the country’s average cup size is steadily growing.

According to the retail store, their best selling bra size has gone from 34B in 2010 to a bustier 34DD this year.

Despite the increase in size, many females are also opting for an extra bit of padding to show off their assets, as a whopping 70 percent of all bras sold in Debenhams are either padded or push-up.

The store’s top lingerie buyer Sharon Webb said, “Sales suggest that breasts are bigger and better than ever before.”

“Confidence is changing the shape of the nation. Fit is of the paramount importance, a great-fitting bra makes you look incredible on the outside and feel fabulous on the inside.”

To mark National Breast Awareness month, 50 cent from every bra sold by the store in October will be donated to breast cancer charities.

A passionate race of women, some 88 percent of respondents consider themselves romantics.
